furnishings including our front desk system. It arrived today via 'Davey'
from Florida in his big truck. It's all coming together now, and carpet
should finish up in the week ahead. Doors to be hung and a few more small
details, but our April 20, 2009 date looks promising. ATT may go on strike,
so we may have a make-shift phone line on the ground when we open. If not,
we'll be using empty bean cans and string to get visits scheduled. If the 20
foot waterline doesn't get trenched and hooked up, we may have to use
KoolAid to flush the toilets.
I was reminded this past weekend at a Mary Kay conference, that 'When you
step out in faith, you'll either find something firm, or you'll learn to
fly." I learned to fly once before, even though I haven't had my head up in
the clouds (not figuratively, but actually) lately. I've been learning to
fly again, in a different sense. Our feet are starting to hit something, so
I know God is providing that foundation we want to plant on. It's exciting
to see all of these dreams from even 15 years ago start to take shape. We're
like clay. God continually molds us and shapes us. The beauty of our new
office, is the beauty of God's provision and location in which to serve his
people. The things ahead for us here are truly exciting as we continue on
this journey called life. Thanks Bruce Wilkinson for the "Dreamgiver." Read
it if you haven't yet!
It will be a busy weekend ahead, assembling the 51 pieces delivered into
different useable structures. A couple of boxes full of screws and bolts. A
set of directions I may look at, we'll see. Images in my head that went to
paper and that are now tangible among us. AMAZING!
Now, where'd I put that screwdriver and erector set wrench ....
